We're Still Shaking In San Diego

I am thankful to report that we have had no damage from the earthquake. I must say it was the longest earthquake that I can remember. They are usually over before you can really realize what just happened, but this one just kept going. We have had numerous aftershocks, I even woke up to one in the middle of the night. My brother felt another at 6:30 AM, I slept through that one. It was Emma's first quake and she couldn't figure out what was happening, but she accepted my explanation easily.
I made this little birthday card set for the newest challenge over at Elle's Studio. The challenge this month is one I hope that many of you will join me in. Elle's Studio has teamed up with Operation Write Home! Create one card....or more and then mail them to Operation Write Home using the mailing slips HERE. Please Do NOT USE GLITTER of any kind on your cards. Cards sent must be postmarked by April 19th. You will receive one entry into the Elle's Studio drawing for every single card that you send! Two names will be drawn and the winners will each get a $30 gift certificate to Elle's Studio! All of the details are posted HERE.

Calendar tags are not just for scrapbooking pages. I used the 2010 Vintage Calendar tags 3x3 from Elle's Studio to make these birthday cards. When I am ready to send them, I will just circle the date of the recipient's birthday....so easy and so personal! I also used various rub ons on the Elle's Studio Vintage Label Cut Outs.
I love the Label Cut Outs...LOVE them. I like having the choice of cutting them apart or keeping them together like I did HERE.

I would love to hear from you if you decide to join us this month in the challenge!

Beautiful cards Sam!! SO thankful you all are okay! I never watch the news so I didn't even know there was an earthquake.

Such cute cards Samantha!

We went over to a friend's house for dinner last night and the first question they asked us was did we felt the earthquake? Surprisingly we didn't! They said it was like 15 seconds long so I don't know how we didn't feel it?? Glad you're okay!!

So you felt and are feeling the shaking? We didn't feel a thing up here. LOVE the cards, what a cute idea to use the calendar pages on them.

You are so right! This quake was a long one! We felt out in the Inland Empire it a very soft rocking. We thought for sure it would pick up momentum but we were lucky it stopped.

BTW Super cute cards! :)
