This Old Thing

It sure is getting easier to make your own custom necklaces these days. In the past (last year), I had to hunt around etsy to gather all of the findings I needed to put together a "vintage" charm bracelet. Everything I needed to make this necklace came from Michael's or Jo Ann's. Putting together your own custom costume jewelry is way easier than it looks. I have a handful of tools that I purchased at Jo Ann's for less than $10 and the rest I figured out by playing around. I would bet that there are at least a handful of videos on the web that can show you different techniques. My Petite Inspiration swap partner Jayme has a video for beginners right HERE.
I love, love these birdies. They came all hooked together like this. They are easy to separate and use on their own for a different look. These fabric flowers are made the exact same way as the video tutorial that I did HERE.

Here is a look at the back of the flowers. I actually went digging in the closet for my eyelet setter to make these. Are you making pretty sparkly jewels? I hope you will share.

You know I want one now ;) I actually have purchased a few things for a necklace that I have created in my head. The time to do it is the only thing slowing me down. LOVE IT Sam!!
