Merry Christmas...I mean Happy Spring!

One of the funny things about submitting cards and lay outs to magazines is the printing schedule. I made these the other night in hopes of being picked up by my favorite... Cards Magazine. For the first, I used a sheet of Elle's Studio Christmas Cut Outs. I really think the Cut Outs are genius, I love the option of leaving them together like I did for this card. I used a fabric remnant for the tie.

This was a fun card for me to make, you know what I mean, when the different pieces just come together quickly and you are pleased with the results without having to fuss around with all the bits for 30 minutes....
I used a bunch of my October Afternoon supplies again ( must use it up before I buy the two new lines, I am out of space!) The vintage greeting, plaid paper and flashcard are all OA and the striped tag and Calendar circle die cut are both Elle's Studio. I used my new EK Success border punch for the scallops. Forever I have been wanting a punch that makes a scallop this size, forever. I couldn't understand why Martha had not made me one, now I am happy and I will never need another border punch...ha ha, yeah right.

A couple Easter pics of the girls.

So, the scrapbooker in me was not exactly prepared for Easter morning...take a look at Lily's pajamas...
yep, those are Santas and Rudolphs. And Emma? Seems okay in her little dress and leggings, truth is, she passed out in bed the day before at 6 PM in the clothes she had been in all day. After our big Anniversary bash, we got home, she walked to her room and took off her shoes and passed out.
And then I went to my room and did the same.

What a great post! I laughed at the pajama part. I too didn't have all the Easter gear ready for those easter pictures, and my girls were also in pj's! But everybody was still happy, and I still got those shots of "I found one!"

GASP! Your kids went to bed in their clothes! :D LOL. It's happened here, too. And, really, your kids are so cute no one's looking at their clothes :)
