Freehand Scraps May, Cherry Blossom~ Part Two

Lovely loveliness is all I can think of as I stare at these beautiful flowers, sigh. This is Emma in one my most favorite dresses ever...wait a minute, that dress will fit Lily now, where is it? My gorgeous friend Alison sent it over from England. I love the flowers on it and it is a super soft cotton like muslin. I thought I would share the lay out that I liked best from my Freehand Scraps May kit "Cherry Blossom". I really appreciate the way Heidi puts these kits together, I wouldn't have thought to put the bold American Craft flowers with the distressed vintage ledger from Fancy Pants, but since they came in the kit together I tried it and I am in love with the results. This month's kit includes The Dear Lizzy fabric paper and I used mine to make the rosettes here.

I added a little hand stitching to give my a lay out a frame, but I didn't think it needed to go all the way around so I just stitched here and there. I had some tiny seed pearls in my stash so i added them to the centers of the rosettes.
Please check out the Freehand Scraps Gallery, the rest of my work with the kit is posted there as well as beautiful projects from Heidi, Lexi, Holly, Amanda, and Jaime.

I hope you enjoy National Scrapbooking Day, which I think should be on a Sunday. Seems like most people have a tee ball game going on!
