Friends with Flair

Hello Unity friends, thanks for stopping by my blog today. I made a lay out using the July cloud stamps. Poor Emma, she drew all over the hall closet and daddy did not like that. Me? I actually thought it was cute and funny. Needless to say Daddy handled the situation and made her clean it up with him. It did not go over very well with her. Poor baby.

This lay out is based on a sketch of Becky Fleck's Page Maps.

Winner

A few weeks ago, I was the lucky winner of a Lil Miss packet of papers from Pebbles Inc. I recieved them yesterday and thought they would be perfect for this LO of Emma's dance class. The paper is feminine and girly, everything I love. Pinks, browns , corals-such lovely colors together. Pebbles paper distresses so well, I love using sandpaper with it.
Blurry here, sorry, this was the first time that I ever used the Pebbles candy dots (see them in yellow ) and I loved them! They really do look good enough to eat-must keep them away from the girlies. Thank you Pebbles Inc. For the beautiful papers and embellishments!

Finally wrote down the names of everyone following my blog! Thank you for the kind comments, they always make my day and leave me with a smile.

Emma had the fun job of picking a name from the cup.

I couldn't tell who it was at first...

Zoomed in and saw that Blooming Pink is the winner of Vintage pack of goodies from me. Please email me your address! samandsib@hotmail.com

Thanks to everyone that played along!!

Melts My Heart Everytime

Emma was a teeny tiny baby, just 4.5 lbs. Easy to hold, easy to love.

David used to say that he couldn't help but fall asleep when she slept on him.

This beautiful paper is from Collage Press. I also ordered this beautiful cloud paper. It is like a Michaelangelo dream.

Yellowbird in the House

I just finished up my June assignments for my local store Yellowbird. I turned in one project before photographing it , so I will have to share that later...this first pic is a mini I am working on, beyond the cover I only have the first page completed. This cute paper is from 3 bugs in a rug and Coco has the whole line in stock. When I saw these funny little birds perched on a wire, I knew that I had to do something with them and when I took a look at the matching papers, I knew I needed to do a mini. More of it later when it is finished.

I made this card from the scraps of the layout below. I am really into hand stitching these days and Mari from Yellowbird told me that needed to try out the Bazzill stitching templates. Well she was right ... I have the borders and alphas and now I am hooked. I want to get back in to Yellowbird and take a closer look at all the other templates available.

Yellowbird has a huge rounder full of these new MY Mind's Eye papers. They are from the Breaking Free series. Mari assigned this pattern to me and this is what I came up with. We were just at this little waterpark and Emma really enjoyed herself. Lily decided to just stand back and watch her big sister run around the shooting water streams.

Page Maps Rock

Page maps is a fantastic site that offers up monthly sketches for all your layout needs. Becky Fleck has created layouts for cards, tags and different sized layouts. I used a 12x12 layout sketch from may 2009 to make this lo of Lily Grace. This was her Easter dress. Emma matched. I thought I was brave to stick the girls in white and the dresses are still white!
Everything in this lo is from the Studio Calico May kit. The little ledger tag and middle flower piece are from the Sassafrass brad packaging, cut with dies and my cuttlebug.

I am still into the hand stitching. I have started using crochet string instead of embr. floss. I think it is easier to manage and the spool of string lasts forever.

I loved this sketch and you will for sure see it again from me. Maybe backwards.

Journaling...
promise you will always be my sweet baby, cuddle with me and hold me tight...i promise to hold you~love you with my whole heart. xo mommy 5/09

Love these Two

These two little girls are my inspiration. I am sooo glad that I have girls to scrapbook! Here we have more photos from the flower fields. I used the great sketch over at 52 Weeks, 52 Sketches to help create this layout.
Today we had some little friends over and "B" doesn't like to go to the bathroom alone so Emma escorted him. Afterwards she had to tell me, "B's pee came out and he was standing up!"

I used a little craft paint as a border around each of the photos. I made some more flowers from fabric scraps~I love making these yo-yos and posies.
