Shopping

It's been a long time since I have spent serious money on scrappin gear.  I don't buy a ton of tools or punches, I never bought a Cricut.  But that changed this summer.  I bought a Silhouette Cameo.  I did.  I just couldn't stand all the cute stuff I have been seeing, so I saved up, sold a bunch of unused scrappy stuff and clicked right on over to Overstock.  I think the overstock price is fair and searched the net for a coupon, which I found, it was for $20 off.  Overstock also offers a total of $35 in downloadables for the store.  So with the gift cards and the $2.95 shipping, my total was $250.  I also liked how quickly it was shipped, I had "Penelope"  plugged in and cutting away within a few days of my online order.
If you are considering this purchase, you may want to get the free software downloaded ASAP.  Even with out the machine, you can start getting the fun free downloads that are offered each week from Silhouette.  I wish I had done this.  They offer one free download each week of their choice and the ones from earlier this summer were awesome.  If you are a teacher they offer the machine at a discounted price.  I did submit my application to them, but decided that Overstock was a better deal when you factor everything in like shipping.  But teachers also get a discount on the merchandise in the store.  For example I ordered the fabulous teal dust cover for my machine and it was offered to me at $2 less than the retail price.  Same with the cutting mats and blades etc.  they are about  $2 less as well.
I ordered these Hipstamatic square photos right off my Iphone from Postal Pix.  The photos are .30-.40 each , which is a little high, but they make up for it in shipping.  I can order a handful of pictures and my shipping will be $1.50.   I used the Cameo ( Silhouette) to cut out the letters on the yellow paper.  I backed up the negative image with the pink and red polk dot.  The font is one that I purchased from the Sil. store for $2.99
I fell in love with this floral from My Mind's Eye.  I love the bright colors, the color choices, the large design.....love it all.  Do you think these are Ranunculas?
Shopping.....and I had to have the exclusive SC stamp set at @2peas......and I wanted to spend enough for free shipping.......so the Love this Moment from Elle's Studio was added to my cart......you know how it is!
