Right now I have about 8 sheets of 12x12 patterned paper hanging on my clothesline. I spilled a cup of coffee on them! So I rinsed them off since they were already wet and now I hope I can salvage a little from them. I am thinking they might still be ok to use with my butterfly punches. Fingers crossed.

Bummer about the coffee spillage! I'm sure you'll put the paper to good use once they are dry.
Oh ,, and congrats on the card being published!
beautiful card, congrats.. I hope your paper comes out ok. maybe the coffee will add a vintage look. =)
Pretty!! Congrats on the publication!
You asked what an SVG was on a comment on my blog. An SVG file is a file type that is used to cut images (die cuts) on a cutting machine. I cut them on my Cricut using a 3rd party software program called Make the Cut (MTC) but the new versions are no longer compatible. I also have another cutting machine that will cut these files.
Many of the crafters in my online circle have purchased cutting machines such as the Silhouette SD (the one I have) or Black Cat Lynx to cut the SVG files as well as other file types. It's similar to a Cricut in that it cuts die cuts but much better in my opinion.
With the software we use we can create our own files to cut, download free files, or purchase them for a very low cost and not be confined to cartridges. It's really a awesome! You can manipulate the images and use any fonts on your computer. The penguin, the animals, and all of the other die cuts I have used on the projects on my blog are SVG files I purchased or downloaded for free. There's also a print and cut feature some of the cutters have. It's pretty neat.
Beautiful! Congrats on the card - definitely magazine quality! Sorry to hear about all your paper - ugh!
