Something for Angie

Just a few more days until my dearest friend in the whole wide world moves away from me. Her family is headed for Hawaii, poor thing. The Marines have been kind on our friendship, for the past 10 years she has been no more than 2.5 hours away and most of those years she has only been 1 hour away. I am sad. A few weeks ago we had the chance to do some shopping over at Paper Tales and she decided that she wanted me to make her a simple Welcome sign for her new house. Together we chose these happy papers from Girls Paperie "On Holiday" and Pink Paislee "365 Degrees".
She is the only girl in a house full of boys, so I tried not to make it too girly. It's hard for me to hold off on embellishing and I really tried to keep this simple. the chipboard alphas are also from Pink Paislee and I love their large size and they are already distressed!
So the good news is we will always have a place in Hawaii to stay, at least for the next few years, but gosh I'm gonna miss her.

Leaving you with a sneak peek of my next class over at Paper Tales!

Love the welcome sign you made her. She will think of you every time she enters her new home.

You just made me cry (again). Been so emotional about leaving. I love my sign and it will always make me smile. I think it's a good idea to teach a class when you come visit. I can't even begin to say goodbye. I love you.
