Beautiful Things

Couple of things to tell you. Sneaks of Elle's Studio's newest products are up on the blog and there is still a little time left for the GIVEAWAY!!
The April challenge is still open!! If you have a few minutes, gather up some homemade cards that you have made and send them in to Operation Write Home. The cards you send must be postmarked by Monday, April 19, to qualify for the big PRIZE from Elle's Studio. More info HERE. I tried something new. And I loved it! I participated in an inspirational matchbox swap hosted by the lovely Heather from The Speckled Egg. We were placed in groups of four and we each made 3 matchboxes to share. This is the matchbox that I altered and filled with "nest and bird" goodies. Um, covering a matchbox with paper was a little harder than I thought it would be.

I used the prettiest egg paper from Karen Russell and some muslin like fabric as a bow, finished off with a vintage button. I lined the box with a paper doily and filled it with thick baker's twine, paper and fabric flowers, a crochet flower, tags, tickets, vintage buttons and a little bracelet kit that I put together.

These are the amazing boxes that I received! Aren't they lovely! The first one, with the nest was made by Connie Senyitko, in the middle was made by Jayme Shepard and the bottom was made by Jessica Rodarte. Ready to see the pretties inside?

It's amazing how much cute stuff these gals got into these little boxes...
you'll see...

and Connie...

Thank you ladies, I love my treasures and I am sure you will soon see them popping up on my lay outs and cards! Even better, I love visiting you at your beautiufl blogs.
xoxo, Sam
