The fabric flower is a strip of polyester pleated trim. I don't know what it for, maybe a ladies collar? The trick to framing your layout with paper strips is this, what ever the width of your strip, let's say you have a 1 inch paper strip, you need to measure the same from each side and when you make your angled cut you will cut from the 1 inch measured mark , across the paper to the opposite side corner. Does that make sense? Should I take pictures?

I made the circles with a piercing tool and the Bazzill sewing templates, which I really love. Both lo's are from the June Studio Calico kits. It's kind of fun to challenge myself and try to use only what was included....but I did add in 3 or 4 of my own embellishments. I like kits a lot- fun to use things that I might not have noticed before.
Fun day planned today, I am cropping with girlfriends!!

I love both your layouts - the first has such an awesome layout and I love the grid layout and stitching on the second. Thanks for the inspiration.
Gorgeous layouts again Samantha coming over here is like a breath of fresh air.
