A Little Tutorial
Tuesday, June 15, 2010
Homemade is best.
A couple of weeks ago I celebrated my 29th (ahem) birthday. Hearing my hints loud and clear, my friend Lexi sent me the sweetest gift, this lovely hoop she made with the Freehand Scraps May kit. The second I laid eyes on it, I was in love with it's prettiness. Those little lace panties!! She made them from a bit of Fancy Pants lace...who thinks like that? Thank you sweet friend!

Well, I didn't want Lexi's gorgeous hoop to be all alone up on my wall, so I made one too! But I am kinda thinking I need just one more for a pretty trio on the wall.

The Girls' Paperie + 7Gypsies + PaperTales+ Me

= my newest class! We will be making this fun photo display from 7Gypsies, using the lovely papers from The Girls' Paperie by Margie!
For my tray I used photos from my traveling days, I think the colors and design would also work perfectly with graduation, father's day or family photos. The colors are not gender specific, so it is easy to personalize this for just about anyone!
The class is Sunday, June 13, 1PM-4PM This class has been rescheduled ! The new class will be Sunday, July 11, 2010 @ Paper Tales. 1 PM-4PM . Space is limited and you can call to reserve your spot! 619-222-2510. The class is $40 and if you are interested in a kit, let me know!!

Elle's Studio + Girls Paperie = Paper Bliss
I think that you already know I love this serires of photos of Emma. It was a wonderful day at Coronado Island, we were with her play group and having a ball. This is one of those dresses that I want to keep for MY granddaughter some day. I am going to be stingy about letting Lily wear it, she stains everything she puts on. I love the cabbage rose print and it matches the Paper Girl line perfectly.
My gallery also includes this lay out of Emma reading one of her favorite books. That delightful library card is included in a cute package of assorted summery tags, must have item in my opinion!
This lovely paper is Paper Doll from Crate Paper, another great pairing with the Elle's Studio "A Sweet Summer" line!
The blog challenge over at Elle's Studio is still on! You have a few more days to enter your lay out about Spring...that's it...easy! The winner of the random drawing gets a $30 gift certificate
to Elle's Studio. You can buy a lot of pretty little tags for 30 bucks!! Good luck!

Something for Angie
So the good news is we will always have a place in Hawaii to stay, at least for the next few years, but gosh I'm gonna miss her.
