A Banner of Thanks and A Sweet Little Sign
I am feeling much better now after only 6 pills! Oh the power of an antibiotic, I love em. The hazy gray fog that I have been in for 2 weeks has been lifted and I am in the mood to craft again! It is 8:30 PM and I am still awake and I will stay awake and watch The Office. I have been falling asleep by 7 PM most other nights.
Last May I met a talented woman selling the most amazing little wood cut outs that she designs and cuts herself. As I shopped her wares, we talked about me possibly creating and designing with her shapes. Well that day has come! Kim Hesson will be selling the wooden shapes in her Etsy shoppe! And I am one of the lucky girls that gets to play with her designs. Jenny Morgan and Melissa Phillips are also working with Kim and creating beautiful projects. I am honored to be a part of this talented team.
I loved making this Autumn sign. Kim has different background shapes that are just right for home decor signs...I must get more for Christmas. I used more Maya Road alphas, Collage Press papers, and the lovely Martha Stewart crystal glitter. Since the base is wooden, this sign is made to last. The sweet pumpkin shape is also from Kim. I layered a Maya Road mini swirl under the pumpkin.

Here are a few peeks at the November Freehand Scraps kit. Oh my this was an easy kit to use, I loved all the aqua/teal in it. The colors are outstanding for fall layouts.

The end of October sure is approaching quickly, I know I am not the only one who is wondering what the heck happened to this month. Looks like Emma is sticking with her Halloween costume idea....a pink ballerina kitty cat. So I need to make some pink ears and a tail....before she changes her mind. She is getting super excited for Halloween, she knows it means she will get a lollipop...she has no idea! We will be trick or treating with my bff and her 3 little boys again this year. She lives on a military base and I think her neighborhood is fun-full of children. Besides she is hosting a happy hour afterwards.

Our Best Day
A few weeks ago we took the girls to Calico Ranch, it's a sweet little apple orchard that lets you pick your own apples and pears. What a thrill it was for Emma to pick those tiny apples off the tree. She loved having her daddy lift her up high to reach the ones way up there. Lily was a totally different story. I really don't think she even looked up. She was way too fascinated with the hundreds and hundreds of apples that had fallen to the ground. The more wrinkly and hole ridden they were the most likely they would make it into her little basket. She only wanted the rotten apples! Oh Miss Lily!
We left the the orchard and a delicious lunch at a famous bakery and Emma picked out a pie for her grandparents and the fun did not stop there...we found a fantastic pumpkin patch with a giant barn, baby pigs, calves, a sweet old horse more than my girls could imagine. Emma kept thanking us for the very best day. Guess we need to take her out more!
I used a few of my favorite products for this ....the Maya Road Scroll Binder album and Collage Press Knave of Hearts and Sweet Shoppe paper. For the cover I used my last sheet of the clouds paper, I am for sure going to get a few more sheets of that lovely lovely paper, my favorite of the year.

I love the paper I used for this lo, it is from the "Lil Man" collection and I think it works perfectly for my lil gal.Ahh, crepe and tulle, tulle and crepe....makes me happy just thinking about them.
I took these photos of Emma at my parents' house. She loves going into my mom's studio and digging in to all of the art supplies and my mom lets her do anything she wants.

You Can Win My Most Favorite Stamps Ever!
It's true, to celebrate my first video with Johanna Peterson and Leah Fung, I am having a Pink Persimmon Giveaway! All you need to do is click on followers over there to the right of this post and subscribe to my blog. Leave a comment letting me know that you did! I will pick a winner in two weeks!Leah will be giving away the Halloween project that I made in the video, just leave her a comment right HERE. Click HERE to see the video on youtube.
In the video, I made a little Halloween decoration using both the Large Banner set and the Scottie dog set (my second favorite). I also use both the large and small Carnival alpha stamps.
I had a great time with Johanna and Leah and they were very patient with me! I was nervous! You can't see all of Leah's scrap room in the video, so let me tell you it is awesome! Imagine lots of peg board with all your favorite tools and embellishments at your fingertips. All very organized too. I could spend a month in there playing with stuff!
I would love to know what you think of the video, I may get the chance to do it again.
Exciting News, American Crafts purchased Pebbles Inc. ! You can read a little more about it HERE.
Friends with Flair
Hello Unity friends, thanks for stopping by my blog today. I made a lay out using the July cloud stamps. Poor Emma, she drew all over the hall closet and daddy did not like that. Me? I actually thought it was cute and funny. Needless to say Daddy handled the situation and made her clean it up with him. It did not go over very well with her. Poor baby.
